Hi all, Thanks in advance for the advice. I was hoping someone out there in the wild is running a dual monitor setup with a 3440x1440 ultra wide monitor along with a second lower resolution monitor (either 1900x1200 or 2560x1440). I know that the specs on the 5770 say it can't, but I know the people are already running a 3440x1440 on this exact setup despite what the specs say. What would be the entry level video card for displaying 3440 x 1440 resolution over HDMI or DP? I just need to run basic applications and web browsing (no gaming). Looking up specifications on nVidia's website indicates the GT 640 and above supports 4096 x 2160 over HDMI. LG 34UM95-P 86,4 cm (34 Zoll) LED-Monitor (HDMI, Thunderbolt, USB 3.0, PC Audio, 5ms Reaktionszeit) schwarz/silber und dem Mac mini von 2014 mit: 2.6GHz Dual-Core Intel Core i5 8GB 1600MHz LPDDR3. I was hoping that someone can confirm that a 2nd lower resolution monitor would run on it. Thanks so much! Xpost on • • • • •. I thought the 5770 has 2 mDP and a dual link DVI? I would be fine getting a cheap gpu, but I have little experience with macs and I've heard that getting compatible hardware can be a pain. A 5870, which can do what I want and is an OEM part for the mac pro, is like $150 used, which sucks. The 5770 is half as powerful as the 5870 it seems, so I'm wary of assuming it can do what the 5870 can do. Both GPUs state that it's capped at 2560x1600 but from research it seems the 5870 can drive dual monitors with one being 3440 and the 5770 can at least drive a single 3440 with no one mentioning attempting a 2nd monitor. I was hoping someone in the wild had made that attempt already and can let me know the results.
